I am also having the same problem and have reverted to v1.3.1 in the meantime as my audio cues are pretty important to me. I recall we had this problem for a while a few versions ago - maybe the first OSX version? - but the fix that worked for me then (IIRC, I had to put the sound files into the System's Sound file rather than my user file) hasn't solved this one. I have 10.5.2 and have a number of different sound file types, primarily .aiff. The only one that still works is the Savitar click. I wasn't sure if the original posted followed up with you or not, so I wanted to add in a second to his/her problem.

I've noticed an odd little thing that's never been enough to make me post, but has finally intrigued me enough. If I begin a line with a space, Savitar immediately sends the ' ' to the world as a complete command without my having hit enter or return, which generally causes the world to give me its version of "Huh? Type 'help' for help." Oh, and it still keeps the current command up, so if I start to type after the , there's still a space, although the world thinks I entered a command. Echoing all input shows a blank line sent to the world. I know I've been noticing it since before OSX, but I can't remember if it's 'always' been there or not. Is this a feature, or a bug? Can anyone else duplicate it?

I'm still hoping I'll find some solution. It's not the sort of thing I can get used to , having the whole program lock up for now upwards of 60 seconds every time someone pages me. I don't get much typing done if I'm in a conversation.

Hee. No. I'm using a older Titanium Powerbook with 500MHz and 256 MB of RAM. It shouldn't have any trouble, and in any case, the change is recent. I started noticing it actually, shortly after installing the iSync, iPod and Keynote updates last weekend. Seems unlikely they'd have anything to do with it though. But it is 10.2.8.
