When I've not been tinkering around on Muds and Moos with Savitar, I'm been working on a word game for iOS. I'm happy to announce (and blatantly promote to you) our game is now available in the App Store. It's called "Wordstro". Link is here: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id432801867

Here's the iTune description for it:

Wordstro -- an easy-to-learn word puzzle with increasing difficulty and both solo and challenge play!

Wordstro offers:
- A word puzzle where you can select letters in any direction, making words.
- Strategic elements; special tiles you can create and use, adding to the fun.
- A Relaxed game, where you can take your time and enjoy finding words.
- A Timed game, where you can play against the clock.
- A Challenge game, letting you challenge your Facebook friends to a single level.
- Multiple saved games, in all game types.
- Excellent mental exercise!
- Statistics, lists of words played, and trophies galore!
- Rich graphics and lush sounds.

Mix all this together and the result is Wordstro, a wonderfully immersive, fun, word-gaming experience for players at any level or any style of play. Challenge your friends with the Challenge game. Or play the Relaxed game on your own. Or play the Timed game for a quick 3-minute break. Whatever your play style, Wordstro's got you covered. Want to put the game down and come back to it later? No problem. You can save it mid-game.

For all you serious word-gamers out there, if you've been looking for a word-game that will challenge you, you've found it! Just don't forget your thinking caps, because you WILL need them. Getting through level 20 of the Relaxed game is not easy. You'll need strategy and all your word-gaming knowledge and skill. Seriously, it took us, the designers of this game, a while to win our way to level 20, but we did it. Without hints or cheating. And we challenge you to do it too!

So, whether you're a casual player looking for a quick fun-break or a serious word-gamer looking for a serious challenge, Wordstro will be the word-game you keep coming back to, game after game.

That does seem to be the case. I'll get out an update for this. In the meanwhile, there's the work around to use that you gave. Good bug report!

QUOTE (jezral @ Jan 16 2012, 06:50 PM) *
I have been using it for awhile, but it doesn't seem like anything significant has been added in the last few years other than some bug fixes.

I'd still really like the ability to create folders in the events menu to turn groups of triggers off and on at once, clicking the little check box off and on one at a time has been an exercise in frustration since one of the updates broke that functionality in 2008 or so.

Sure is!

A trigger could issue the "##disable trigger" command, and also could "##enable trigger". Will that pull off what you're looking for?

ya but it makes new ones, and you have to go in there and disable em again.

so after a while you got a bunch of autocomplete junk

Turn off the trigger you made that is making them?

Okay, please email me a zipped copy of your "Savitar 2.0 Prefs" file found in your home folder's Library/Preferences folder. Also, if you are launching Savitar by way of double-clicking on a world document, send me a zipped copy of that world document too.

My email address is jay at heynow dot com. Thank you.

I'll look at fixing this. In the meanwhile, feel free to downgrade to 1.5.1. It's still on the server. Here's the direct link: http://www.heynow.com/savitar/download/Savitar151.zip

Odd. Email me at my personal email address, jay@heynow.com, and I'll send you a debug version of Savitar to try. This will allow us to narrow down why the error is occurring. Thank you.

QUOTE (Atlantischan @ Mar 1 2009, 06:51 PM) *
##wait doesn't seem to be working properly.
It'll wait for the correct amount of time, but if I have something with it, for example...

##wait 3 evaluate wheat

The 'evaluate wheat' part isn't recognized.
The mud will send back to me "There is no wheat here to evaluate", when in fact, there is.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a problem with ##wait?

Hmm, wait is working here when I test with:
##wait 3 look

What version of Savitar are you on? The latest?

Send me a personal email with the exact details of the trigger you are concocting and we'll get this sorted out. I can be reached at jay@heynow.com

Thanks,

Savitar comes "out of the box" with an example "greet" trigger. Go to the Events Window, flip to the Triggers tab and disable or delete it. You'll be all set.
