Heynow Software Forums _ Feature Requests _ Universal Binary

I can't speak for everyone else using Savitar, but I love it and I've been using it forever. I've recently upgraded to a MacBook Pro, and sad to say, Savitar is the only non-Universal app I run regularily. I can't say that there's a huge issue with running it emulated. It works completely fine and fast enough for what it needs to do. Startup times and drawing menus are a little sluggish, the icon may bounce up to 10 times before starting. But Rosetta does use system resources when it's running, and an app like Savitar has always used minimum resources. A universal binary would certainly be welcome.

I'll take the lack of criticism or opposition as confirmation that the next version of Savitar will be universal. Thanks!

Universal binary would be awesome, or done in JAVA so it couid be cross-platform. And the auto-logging of the OS 9 version would be wonderful.

I'm happy to say that Savitar 1.4, which is a Universal Binary, is progressing nicely and is ready for testing. Please email me privately if you'd like to be on the test team.
