Job Summary:
We're looking for excellent project management skills; Excellent C++ and object-oriented design skills.
Our client is seeking an accomplished Software Engineer to join our team and evangelize the newest Mac technologies. This person will have expertise in Mac desktop application development and optimization, and will champion the strategic direction of our robust Mac applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and user interfaces that enable our products to work more effectively on Mac OS X.
- Ensure the integration of new technologies on Mac OS X are seamless and do not introduce regressions in application functionality or performance
- Provide development guidance for other Mac developers and interface design guidance across the organization.
Qualifications:
- M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience with C++
- Excellent C++ and object-oriented design skills
- Intimate, hands-on familiarity with Xcode, GCC, GDB, and Shark
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior cross-platform development experience (including the Mac)
- Unix familiarity (GCC, GDB) preferred
- Strong debugging skills
Pluses:
- Familiarity with MATLAB on Mac OS
- Working knowledge of Java
- Familiarity with AppleScript, Perl, and/or Unix shell scripting
- GNU development experience
