Our client is developing software for next-generation networks and currently hiring advanced C++ Application Developers. Our client is focused on developing solutions which will render some of today's networking technologies obsolete and which will enable carriers and service providers to deploy and provision next generation IP based services in a way which maximizes their revenues and minimizes their operating expenses.
As an Application Developer you will be:
- Contributing to new designs and only writing new code.
- Working in short design and coding cycles per XP methodology, with cutting edge tool set.
- Researching and resolving complex issues as part of that design cycle.
- Evaluating and changing other team member's code.
- Expected to be innovative and creative.
Skills needed to work in this environment:
- Advanced degrees with 5+ years, or equivalent combination of both, and software and development on a UNIX/Linux platform.
- C++ and object oriented development.
- Experience in a multi-process, multithreaded, and distributed process.
- You must demonstrate competence and expertise in more than one discipline e.g. coding skills, application specific knowledge. We are looking for people who are flexible and adaptable.
- Experience with Extreme Programming or other Agile methodology is preferred.
- Experience with networking is a definitive plus.
- New Code design - No maintaining old code, you will be developing new code.
Beneficial skills:
- Experience in Mac OS / Windows cross-platform development.
- Experience in development of multi-threaded applications.
- Experience in Client/Server or Web related development.
- TCP/IP programming.
- (Open)SSL programming experience.
